Create the adverts

Task 7: Create the adverts

Learning Outcome 3 (U20): Be able to produce the planned media components

P4 (U20): Create production materials to be used in the original media product
M3 (U20): Create production material that follows the codes and conventions of the chosen genre for the media product.

Here are the final and mock ups are the final three advertisement products that we created, the billboard, the magazine and the promotional video advert.

We have chosen to create this magazine because it sticks to the most appropriate colour scheme to do with the flavor of the drink. The use of imagery, bold fonts and colors to draw the target audience into buying the drink. The use of Carter Soft drinks also gives the company recognition which will allow them to be popular. The slogan "cheers to the good old days" is conventional and was chosen because it links to the retro theme set by the client.

We have chosen to do this billboard because it shows the same colour scheme and fonts and all the photos as the magazine. It shows that it is linked to the magazine and my product and this is needed to show what the drink will look like.

Here is the final video we have finished filming and editing. This is the third way we have chosen to advertise the product. The video advert tells the story of two adults who reminisce about the drink Phizzwizzard and the use of music/lighting helps to reaffirm the retro atmosphere. The costumes that are used for this advert are just plain ordinary work clothing so that they can represent the characters that we created and believe represent the primary target audience. The location that we used to relate to our secondary target audience, which is a much younger demographic ages 13 and above, is in a hall/party venue, this is because it is a flashback sequence for the adults, however because of the recent 80s/90s style comeback this theme and flashback relates to the secondary target audience as well. The clothing used for this scene are related to the age/ time period that the promotional video is set in. In the post production process the editing software used had to apply to the codes and conventions needed to attract the two target audiences. The colour palette that we chose for the promotional material reflects the flavor of the product we are advertising to the public.

Here are the different focus groups with the different ages of people that are our target audience. We asked them both three questions about the video/ product. The first question we asked was who does it target? The second question is Would you buy the drink? The third question is Does the video appeal to both target audience and why/how does it do this? (This is both target audience.)
