For example being on time and respectful to the client can show that we are organized and prepared to work to create what the client expects. A Marketing Director should also be outgoing, gregarious and of spontaneous nature, so that they can be open minded and creative when coming up with marketing strategies that are different from existing ones.

D2 (U24): Explain the importance of etiquette when working on a media product.

Etiquette is the customary code of polite behaviour in society or among members of a particular profession or group. Etiquette is effectively a protocol that ensures good manners and respect.

When working on a media product it is essential that etiquette is of a high standard and that the employees are working in a professional and organized manner so that they can show a level of professionalism to their clients that is respectable. This would mean that the employees need to be respectful within the environment that they are working in, as well as being humble and polite to their peers and colleges in order to create a healthy and positive work environment and have good etiquette. However if the employees are not working professionally or to a high standard then the clients will not see the company as a professional or respectable company, meaning that they may potentially pay less meaning that the company could lose all their profits. All of the products that are created should be to the highest of standards so that the company can be seen as professional. However if the product that is created doesn't meet the standard of consumer demand then the company will most decrease in sales or box office numbers that is needed in order to pay back the budget that was spent.

When a company wants to advertise a product, there are many roles that need to be delegated between the companies and employees. This means that the employee that has the most etiquette would most likely attend the meetings with the clients and speak on behalf of the company that they are working with. This is because they will be able to show the most amount professionalism to the client, which will then earn the advertising company respect as well as show that they are well mannered, professional and organized. An advertising company needs to be able to delegate tasks between all of the employees that they control and have. These employees need to have a high element of etiquette when working on the specific project so that the work is completed to the best quality and to the standard that is needed of them by the client.

A Marketing Director must make sure that they take on their own work with an etiquette that will allow them to complete the task handed to them by the client to the standard and quality that is expected by the client. They must ensure that they provide direction, guidance and leadership to a marketing department, in order to ensure that the work they are creating is at the quality that the client is asking for. The Marketing Director would know if their work has been completed to the etiquette and standard that has been set by the client, in order to ensure that the client is content with the marketing strategies that have been created. If the Marketing Director can perform effectively by making sure that the tasks created are delegated to the best suited employees in the marketing department. The Marketing director also has to ensure that the employees have or obtain the etiquette needed to complete the task that they have been set successfully. For example a Marketing Specialist Manager is a high level job that needs to have the best skilled and suited employee to take charge of that role, this is because they formulate different strategies that can help an organisation market quality products and services. They are responsible for finding the right audiences to market the products and services to. They need to be analytical as they must be able to review and analyse data to develop new, effective marketing strategies. This is a very important job role in the marketing department, which means that they need to have the best high level etiquette in order to complete the task to the best quality as well as to impress the client.

The Marketing Director would know if their work had been completed to the etiquette that is required if the client has content with the ideas created and is not sending back feedback of needs back and fourth. If the Marketing Director can perform effectively by making sure that the all the tasks are delegated to the best suited employees, who contain the appropriate amount of etiquette needed to complete the job successfully. For example an marketing assistant is a low level job in the hierarchy of marketing company, and the assistant much have the potential capabilities to complete a task on the off chance they may be handed an extra chance to reduce high role work loads, for example helping the Marketing director to complete some of their tasks.
